Although many animation, deformation and metamorphosis techniqueshave been proposed, the simultaneous combination of thosethree transformations has never been addressed for three dimensionalobjects so far. This paper presents a framework for controllingmetamorphosis between two animated implicit models builtfrom skeletal elements. It relies on the animated BlobTree modelthat encompasses the animation and metamorphosis in an unifiedand coherent fashion. Our method is general and supports a widerange of animation systems such as key-frames or physically basedsystems.
