Abstract

A business rule 驴defines or constrains some aspect of the business. It is intended to assert business structure, or to control or influence the behavior of the business.驴 -- The IBM GUIDE Organization. By capturing their business rules as meta-data, enterprises consistently, deliver effective strategic information - on demand, to the right people, in the right format. They also control the only constant in enterprise management - Change. This paper describes methods and techniques for discovering, documenting, and using business rules as meta-data.
