Abstract

This report addresses certain issues relevant to Ada interface technology, and identifies technical and organizational barriers to Ada's effective use as an interface medium. The report provides examples from the SQL Ada area, and the proposed POSIX Ada standard, and presents the argument that the principles which motivate good software design must be applied in the development of workable interface standards.
