A new type of enterprise network has emerged to support multimedia traffic with the use of digital cellular and Internet Protocol technologies. This is called Mobile Intranet. Mobile Intranet utilizes corporate backbone as the transport medium while providing mobility, and flexibility services to corporate users to achieve the mobile office environment where workers can virtually work at anytime, and anywhere with a single contact number. Several challenges and issues arise while implementing the integration of this network with the corporate network. This paper presents the Mobile Office Network for the Mobile Intranet, and discusses those challenges for implementations. Solutions to those challenges are also provided, and issues are presented.
