Abstract

Curriculum development for classroom learning is often heavily dependant upon the experience of the teacher and is iterated over a number of delivery cycles to an optimum solution. The higher resource commitment required by eLearning demands an in depth curriculum development phase and a team effort, taking into account the needs of a more diverse learner group. The curriculum must be in sufficient detail for the content to be developed out of sequence and by different specialist members of the team. The project management task becomes more critical and complex and the host organization must be supportive.
