Abstract

This paper presents the development of the SAMM integrated environment (Multimedia Presentation System), which has been proposed to support synchronized real-time communication and presentation of pre-orchestrated multimedia data. The employed multimedia synchronization technique was based on the eXtended model of the Object Composition Petri-Net (XOCPN). The integrated environment is presented by the description of its main components: the multimedia synchronization service; the modules that automatize processes concerning the synchronization mechanism; and the Composition graphical application that works as a specialized authoring tool and helps users that want to compose multimedia presentations.
