In this paper we develop a Load Balancing scheme fornetworks based on the MPLS framework. The proposed algorithm(DYLBA - Dynamic Load Balancing Algorithm) implementsa local search technique where the basic move isthe modification of the route for a single Label SwitchedPath. Experiments under a dynamic traffic scenario showa reduced rejection probability especially with long-livedconnection requests, thus providing a better use of resourceswhen compared to existing constraint-based routingschemes for traffic engineering in MPLS networks.
