We defined in [Guy96] CAliF (Cooperative Application Framework): a platform for cooperative work applications. First, the both lower layers of CAliF have been developed separately: the interprocess communication layer CAliFCom and the shared memory layer where the Pilgrim, a new consistency protocol, is implemented. In this paper we show the qualities of CAliFCom, and we study Pilgrim performance over this interprocess communication layer. Results are promising, and thus, our system allows transparent handling of data sharing.
