A Stochastic Dynamic Local Search Method for Learning Multiple-Valued Logic Networks

This paper describes an evolutionary algorithm for the design of good multivalued logic (MVL) circuits based on genetic algorithms. A method for deriving low-cost realizations, based on the table-cost technique is presented. A new cost-table is also proposed that results in better realizations than that obtained in the past. With genetic lgorithms the desidn of MVL circuits can be handled as an optimization problem.
