A wearable computer is being developed for use as a remote interface (RI) to electronic products for people aging with/into a physical hand or arm impairment. The goal is to provide these people with a single usable interface with which they can control many types of products. Although the target population is functionally diverse, the investigators hypothesize that a minimum set of interfaces can be identified that, when combined in various "mix and match" configurations, can form interfaces usable by most people with a hand or arm impairment. Methods include: (1) evaluating the usability of existing interfaces and (2) designing and testing the usability of a modular RI system that enables the mixing and matching of modular interface components.
