Abstract

This paper describes a solution called Secure MobileIP (SecMIP) to provide mobile IP users secure access totheir company 's firewall protected virtual privatenetwork. The solution requires neither introducing newprotocols nor to insert or modify network components. Itonly requires a slight adaptation of the end systemcommunication software in order to adapt Mobile IP andIP Security protocol implementations to each other. Thepaper describes the concept, prototype implementation,and initial performance measurement results.
