Program quality represents the most significant part ofsoftware quality control that assures all characteristics ofsoftware products to satisfy the user's explicit and implicitneeds. Though software processes have to be improved toenhance software quality, In this paper we address the problems of software products at the source code level, and dealwith those problems by using a coding standard. We describe a quality assurance method using coding standardsin program design and implementation, and report our program quality improvement practices and observations usinga Java programming coding standard.
