Abstract

Abstract: We propose a specification of a video-on-demand (VOD) service using an object oriented technique on the ITU-T's service modeling frame. The specification consists of the prose description, the static description using service attributes and the dynamic description using an event trace diagram. The purpose of the specification is to derive capabilities of a network on which the service will be provided. This specification will be also used to outline VOD service protocols.
