Improving the computation efficiency is a key issue inimage processing, especially in edge detection, becauseedge detection is very computationally intensive. With thedevelopment of real-time application of image processing,fast processing response is becoming more critical. Inthis paper, a technique for distributed image processingon Spiral Architecture is proposed, which provides aplatform for speeding up image processing based onclusters.
