Abstract

Abstract: The assembly sequence and resources are among the key elements towards the design-manufacturing-assembly integration process within a concurrent engineering context. The product model is subdivided into three submodels: the physical submodel of liaisons, the geometric submodel of components, and the technological submodel of operations. A geometric submodel of the components is used. A technological part is already taken into account in the physical model of liaisons because of the introduction of fastening liaisons. This paper describes a method to determine the assembly sequences and resources, based on a CAD model, that combines a functional description of the product and a disassembly process for which a half degree of liaison concept is introduced.
