The existing DCF mode of lEEE 802.11 MAC protocol does not suitable for multimedia and QoS-sensitive applications. In this paper, we proposed a novel mechanism based on Deficit Round Robin to calculate various lengths of IFS to support QoS in Wireless LAN. The preliminary results show that throughput variation, delay and delay variation are reduced without compromising fairness.
