Many application level qualities are functions of avail-ablecomputation resources.Recent studies have handledthe computation resource allocation problem to maximizethe overall application quality. However, such QoS problemis fundamentally a multi-dimensional optimization problemthat requires extensive computation. Therefore, online usageof optimization procedures may significantly reduce thecomputation resource available for applications. This raises thequestion of how to best use the optimization procedures fordynamic real-time task sets. This paper proposes a methodcalled service classes configuration to address the QoSproblemwith dynamic arrival and departure of tasks.A simplifiedradar application is used as an illustrative example.
