Abstract

Documentation generation is the process of creating thesystem documentation at different levels of abstractionfrom the source code for a legacy system. The main goalis to help the stakeholders to understand the system withrepresentations at the appropriate abstraction level. Wefollow an architecture reconstruction method to create anarchitectural model of the system and we use adocumentation generation technique to re-document itsarchitecture. In this article, we present our XML basedapproach for generating the architectural documentationof a software system.
