Abstract

The quality of service of software is usually expressed as a quantitative measure and, in case of real-time systems, it may be as important as logical correctness. Therefore, for software models of such systems it is of critical importance to be able to specify this information. In this chapter we introduce the standard UML profile that enables the specification of quality of service information directly in UML models.
