Abstract

A scenario is a sequence of events that describes expected system behavior. In Requirements Engineering, scenario documents are used to specify the system requirements. When many scenarios exist, scenario management poses a significant challenge. The challenge is to create a requirements specification that contains scenarios that are consistent, do not duplicate one another, and contain no synonymous terms. This report discusses our validation of Alspaugh et al.s similarity measures, which were applied to the EMS (Enhanced Messaging System) Scenarios Document.
