An investigation is performed on a controlled parallel processing environment based upon the Linda paradigm, a conceptually simple programming and operational framework. The environment efficiently and effectively manages system resources via a centralized control sub-system. A detailed overview of the environment executing on a local area network is presented along with analysis on its control sub-system. The control sub-system''s execution characteristics of stability and scalability are also substantiated.
