Dynamic modelling is a frequently used approach for solvingproblems in interorganizational systems. In order toconstruct valid models of such systems, representatives ofthe individual organizations must be involved in the modellingprocess. Current approaches of dynamic modellinguse a form of 'consultative design' for handling the participationof organizational representatives. Based on findingsin literature on participatory design and on previousresearch on the design of interorganizational informationsystems, we claim that a more 'participative' dynamicmodelling approach for modelling interorganizational systemswould be appropriate. This paper presents a model-frameworkfor 'multimodels', and a participative approachfor building such models.
