Abstract

For each of the stakeholders involved in complexorganizational processes, some useful support can beprovided by recording in some structured fashion relevantportions of organizational memory. For this purpose, components of OM should include rich contextualinformation not only to provide detailed viewpoints ofindividual decision makers, but also to identifyinterdependencies among differing perspectives andviewpoints. An effective scheme for the capture and use ofOM includes both formal and informal information. Wedescribe a meta-model that can be used to representcomprehensive OM schemes. We describe the capabilities ofa prototype OMS that provides a variety of facilitates for thecapture, maintenance and use of OM.
