A large amount of strategically relevant business informationis contained in unstructured texts. While informationbrokering approaches are used to contextualizesuch documents and to generate metadata, text mining isused to explore large document spaces. So far, littleattention has been paid on a value-adding combination ofthese technologies. In this paper we show how metadataand documents can be complementarily represented andused interactively to support users in text corpus analysis. We present a text analysis portal which displays inter-documentsimilarity by means of so-called documentmaps, complemented by a display of the domain ontologyand metadata-based access methods.
