Previous works on the visualization of navigationhistory has provided users with overviews thatfacilitate the retrieval of already visited pages. Mostof these techniques rely on the construction of anavigation tree without accounting much for thestructure of the underlying hypertext graph. Thereforesuch views are heavily dependent on the order of pagevisited. In most cases they are limited to one sessionand cannot easily represent large collections of pages. We propose a clustering method based (1) on afocus (2) on the structure of the underlying hypertextgraph. Our aim is to use this method to automaticallyorganize visited pages into a hierarchically clusteredgraph to provide multi-scale visualization of pagesvisited during several sessions. Our initialexperiments with navigation history is promising. Webelieve that our clustering method is general enoughto be applied to other data with an underlying highlyconnected graph structure.
