Abstract

The authors identify commercial grids as an emerging specialization of grid technology, and identify the need to define and satisfy service-level agreements (SLAs) as a fundamental requirement. They argue that SLAs' unique requirements impose the need for a dynamic offload infrastructure. This article describes the requirements such an infrastructure must meet, and describes a prototype implementation.
