Abstract

A large-scale Web-based information-management task requires coordinated execution of a large number of information retrieval, analysis, and visualization steps. Web service technologies let users locate and access various information-management services, but it is currently impractical for users to properly manage and execute many of the steps supported by Web Services or to quickly adapt and reuse them for similar tasks on different systems. The authors propose a high-level, end-user mechanism for quickly exploring and testing various services.
