Controlling access to resources is one of the most importantprotection goals for web-based services in practice. In general, access control requires identification ofsubjects that intend to use resources. Today, there are severalidentification mechanisms for subjects, providing differentsecurity levels. However, some of them are onlysuitable to be used in specific environments. In this paperwe consider access control to web-based services thatalso depends on the strength of identification mechanismsas a context-dependent parameter. Furthermore, we showhow to model this context-dependent access control by usingrole-based concepts.
