Autonomic computing is an entirely new philosophy for thedevelopment of computing systems. This paper first presents thebasic concept and principle of autonomic computing. Then, anarchitecture is proposed for autonomic computing systems. Finally, design issues of amulti-agent autonomic architecture and thecollaborative environment for e-medicine are presented.
