This work describes a multi-agent architecture and strategy fortrade in simultaneous and related auctions. The proposed SIMPLEAgency combines an integer programming model, machine learningtechniques and knowledge engineering strategies to build itsdecision making process. Some well known problems in trading wereidentified in order to design the architecture. Each SIMPLE agentis concerned with one of the trading subproblems. This makes itpossible to apply different computational techniques to solve eachsubproblem separately and then combine their solutions. The TradingAgent Competition (TAC) is used to illustrate and test ourapproach. SIMPLE shows high performance on competitive scenariosusing the TAC server environment.
