Abstract

Self-organized systems need sophisticated coordination mechanisms. This paper proposes a model based on multi-agent planning tocoordinate such systems. In our application framework: tacticalaircraft simulation, it is important to deal with environmentchanges. For that, we based our approach on the hybrid automataformalism. The main advantage of this formalism is to modeldifferent clocks evolving with different speeds, for example, thealtitude, the kerosene, the time, etc. In fact, all the parametersevolving dynamically can be modeled by a clock. This paper alsoshows how to obtain coherent multi-agent plans from individualone's in such a context. This coherence is guaranteed throughconsistent coordination mechanisms well-founded since they arebased on hybrid automata and their synchronization. The result is aflexible multi-agent plan in the form of a synchronized network ofindividual hybrid automata. This paper carries on introducing afirst implementation of this approach in a project named SCALAdeveloped at Dassault Aviation.
