Ant-based algorithms or ant colony optimization(ACO) algorithmshave been applied successfully to combinatorial optimizationproblems. More recently, Parpinelli and colleagues applied ACO todata mining classification problems, where they introduced aclassification algorithm called Ant_Miner. In this paper, wepresent an improvement to Ant_Miner (we call itAnt_Miner3). Theproposed version was tested on two standard problems and performedbetter than the original Ant_Miner algorithm.
