Abstract

Based on our previous work on the formal specification languageSLABS as well as a methodology and modelling language for modellingand specifying multi-agent systems, we further investigate howdiagrammatic models of multi-agent systems can be used to deriveformal specifications in SLABS. The modelling language is furtherdeveloped by introducing behaviour diagrams and scenario diagramsfor modelling agents' behaviour in various scenarios of theirenvironment. It supports derivation of the specifications ofagents' behaviour through scenario analysis. The language and itsusage are illustrated by an example of the evolutionary multi-agentecosystem Amalthae a developed at MIT Media Lab.
