Abstract

This paper describes an improved flow chart notation, Compact Chart, developed because the flow chart conception is effective in constructing program logics, but the conventional notation for it is ineffective.By introducing the idea of separation of control transfer and process description, Compact Charting gives an improved method of representing and understanding program logics.
