In an attempt to provide a better breadth-first Introduction to Computer Science, a mini software engineering project was added to the CS0-like course at the University of Northern Colorado during the fall of 2002. This introductory course is taken by prospective Computer Science students as well as those students in other majors. This paper will describe the project and enough of the course to provide an understanding of how previous assignments lead up to the final assignment/project. Finally, comments on the project attempt and suggestions for future attempts will be provided.
