Model-Driven Architecture (MDA) focuses on theevolution and integration of applications acrossheterogeneous middleware platforms. It provides asystematic framework using engineering methods andtools to understand, design, operate, and evolve enterprisesystems .MDA promotes modeling different aspects ofsoftware systems at levels of abstraction, and exploitinginterrelationships between these models. In this paper, we propose a model-driven approach toE-Learning system development based on core ObjectManagement Group (OMG) MDA standards,. In order tomake maximum use of Domain facilities provided by MDA,our E-learning system is modeled in the form of anormative Platform Independent Model (PIM) expressedby UML, and augmented by a normative Platform SpecificModel (PSM) expressed by UML profile for EJB interfacedefinitions.
