Web application development differs from thedevelopment of traditional software in several significantways; therefore requirements engineering for webapplications entails new demands accordingly. This paperproposes an extreme web requirements engineering - mockup-driven fast-prototyping methodology to helpelicit and finalize system requirements, as well asfacilitate adjustment to quickly changing userrequirements typical to web applications. Supporting theinclusion of customer feedback early in the developmentprocess, this strategy minimizes the risk of wastingvaluable development efforts because of ambiguous orincomplete specifications. Real-life experiences of the useof the methodology in industry are reported as examples.
