Abstract

The multistep characteristic difference scheme is given for the periodic initial boundary problem of a class of two-dimensional generalized nerve conduction equation. Based on biquadratic interpolations, using the general transformation and the theory and technique of priori estimates, optimal order error estimates in l2 is obtained and improved accuracy on the temporal direction to O((Δt)2). Numerical experiment implies that this scheme has higher accuracy and efficiency.
