The era of the Cyborg is now upon us. This hasenormous implications on ethical values forboth humans and cyborgs. In this paperthe state of play is discussed. Routes tocyborgisation are introduced and differenttypes of Cyborg are considered. The author'sown self-experimentation projects are describedas central to the theme taken. The presentationinvolves ethical aspects of cyborgisation bothas it stands now and those which need to beinvestigated in the near future as the effectsof increased technological power have a moredramatic influence. An important feature is thepotential for cyborgs to act against, ratherthan for, the interests of humanity.
