Abstract

Discussed in this chapter are the problems of obtaining relevant information and automation and simplification of those processes in the business perspective. It is argued that information filtering tasks in companies can be automated and simplified with the help of workflow technology. Furthermore, the authors hope that specifying potential combinations of the two technologies will lead to improving companies' efficiency in using information in more competitive markets with an excess of information. The authors also hope that combining the two technologies can lead to improvement of business processes within companies.
