Abstract

The dead time and parameters of an asynchronous double stochastic event flow, which is the model for information flows of customers (events) in queueing systems and networks, are estimated. Conditions for the observability of flow are such that every event generates a dead time period, in which other events are not observable (continued dead time). The Laplace transform of the probability density of the event-event interval in the observed flow is determined. Equations of moments for estimating the dead time and parameters of the initial event flow are derived.
