Abstract

In this paper we review and analyze concurrency issues in object-oriented languages. We particularly focus on C++-based languages. A categorization of existing concurrent object-oriented languages according to their level of integration between the paradigms of object-oriented programming and concurrent programming is presented. We then review concurrent C++-based languages. An analysis of concurrency issues in C++ is also presented.
