Abstract

This paper compares the performance of different TCP variants, specifically Reno, Vegas and Sack, when used to transport SIP signalling traffic, in both a homogeneous and heterogenous competition environment. Throughput achieved by the relevant TCP connection is used as a basis for this comparison and analysis.
