Abstract

This paper is concerned with the study of humanelectroencephalogram (EEG) signal of an epilepticperson. In classical EEG analysis rhythms in differentbands have often been assumed to be independent andtheir occurrence has been interpreted as a sign ofdifferent function operations. In this work, quadraticphase coupling has been studied by the use of higherorder spectral analysis. The results show the presence ofa very high phase correlation in the signal.
