We propose an efficient caching mechanism for XMLcontent adaptation. Our adaptation framework consists oftwo modules. One module generates transformation rulesand the other transforms source XML contents using thetransformation rules. Unlike conventional cachingmechanisms that store transformed contents, ourmechanism stores the transformation rules between twomodules. We show its performance improvement in termsof measured hit ratio and space efficiency in acomparison with conventional mechanisms.
