Abstract

This paper expands the concept of "states of information" as analogous to states of matter. It introduces new ideas on the expressiveness of information systems and how information is organized in these systems. By taking advantage of the isomorphism that exists between states of matter and states of information, we can begin to understand new ways to characterize and measure information systems. This paper is the second in a series of papers in the newly emerging and interdisciplinary field of "infodynamics.
