One of the major issues raised by Digital RightsManagement (DRM) systems concerns the protection ofthe user's privacy and anonymous consumption of content.However, most existing DRM systems do not support theprotection of each user's personal information. Thispaper suggests a privacy-enhancing license managementprotocol, named PrecePt (Privacy-enhancing LicenseManagement Protocol), which is a more powerfulprotocol to protect personal information in DRM. Toprotect the exposure of user identifier, this protocol usestemporary ID and token to guarantee anonymity. Theproposed scheme also uses a session key form ECDHcryptography and Public-Key so that it can protect therevelation of personal information and user privacy.
