In recent years, Flash movies are experiencing abreathtaking growth and have become one of the mostprevailing media formats on the Web. Different from othermedia formats such as image or video, Flash moviescontain various types of elements including not onlyheterogeneous media components, but also dynamic effectsand interactions. How to model these elements properlyplays an important role in Flash retrieval. In this paper wepresent a novel approach for modeling Flash movies interms of spatial, motive and interactive relationships amongthese elements. Associated facilities, including a databaseschema design and query modules, are also implemented torealize the modeling method.
