Abstract

In both e-business and e-science, we often need tointegrate services across distributed, heterogeneous, dynamic "virtual organizations" formed from thedisparate resources within a single enterprise and/orfrom external resource sharing and service providerrelationships. This integration is technicallychallenging because of the need to achieve variouslevels of quality of service (QoS) when running on topof different native platforms and under dynamicworkload conditions. We present an AutonomousDistributed Service System Architecture that addressesthese challenges. Building on concepts andtechnologies from the Semantic Web, Multi-AgentSystems, Grid and Web services communities, thisarchitecture put together a proposition made to copewith heterogeneous and continuously changing needsof information processing, service provision andutilization in dynamically evolving environment tomeet these requirements. Autonomous DistributedServices Architecture also define agents' capabilitiesin terms of Web services Description Language(WSDL), so that agents can describe and advertisethemselves in UDDI (Universal Description Discovery& Integration) as and when required.
