This paper presents a novel method for pixel-wisecorrespondence between 3D face images. The methodis based on uniform gridded-resampling of different3D faces and advances a particular even-partitionprocedure including uniform face segmentation andiso-curves initialization for correspondence. Pixel-wisecorrespondence between 3D face images is the basis ofa 3D face model, which is capable of analyzing novelface images. Pixel-wise correspondence (which canalso be called point-to-point correspondence) between3D prototypes is currently based mainly on severalalgorithms derived from optical flow. Using a series ofexamples, our approach has shown its advantages andbeen proved to be promising for pixel-wisecorrespondence between 3D face images.
